2017 National Finals (Singapore)
The challenge involves teams with three to six team members working together to design and build a radio controlled four-wheel drive (4x4) vehicle, prepare for a verbal presentation, build a pit display and create engineering and enterprise portfolios for their teams. Their vehicle must be built to be able to successfully negotiate a specially designed test track emulating real life off-road situations.
As a team you will register to take part in the Singapore National Final where you will compete against other teams in Singapore. The National Champion from Singapore will be able to represent Singapore in the World Finals the next year in 2018. This is a process that is instituted in over 20 countries running the 4x4 in Schools Challenge, cumulating in the World Finals where the champions of every country come together to go head to head in the World Competition and challenge for top honours.
The 4x4 in Schools Technology Challenge will be held in Singapore for the first time in 2017. In the first year of the competition, teams will only compete in the Entry Class Category.
